90.5 FM KSJS and the Associated Students of San Jose State University present “Chef Ramon’s Talking Blues”, celebrating San Jose Blues Week 2008 and the 28th Annual Metro Fountain Blues Festival (Raising funds for Christopher Rodriguez, the ten-year old Oakland youth that was inadvertently shot and paralyzed while practicing the piano) with live performances by Rene Solis and the South Bay Blues All-Stars, featuring Ron Thompson, Gary Smith, J.C. Smith, Lara Price, Laura Chavez, Max Cabello, Jr., Jake Mackey, Willie Roland, and more! Appetizers provided by the Poor House Bistro. Tickets are $15. Metro Fountain Blues Festival
Saturday May 10, 2008 from 12:30-8 p.m

The Associated Students of San Jose State and 90.5 FM KSJS invite you to the 28th Annual Metro Fountain Blues Festival, celebrating San Jose Blues Week 2008, San Carlos Plaza area of SJSU 4th & San Salvador, San Jose: Robert Cray Band, Koko Taylor & Her Blues Machine, Sonny Landreth, Smokin’ Joe Kubek w/ Bnois King, Shane Dwight, Max Cabello, Jr. Fountain Blues offers food and craft booths, soft drinks and water, commemorative t-shirts, a beer and wine garden and is fun for the entire family! There is also an autograph table where you can meet your favorite artist, purchase their CD’s and get autographs. Fountain Blues is a great annual musical gift provided by the Associated Students of San Jose State and the Silicon Valley Metro Newspaper and is broadcast live on 90.5 FM KSJS with behind-the-scenes commentary and performer interviews with KSJS’s Chef Ramon. $5 requested donation.
